FILADELFIA -- Alex Rodríguez esperó 16 años para estar en su primera Serie Mundial y el domingo conectó el hit de su vida.

Un doblete con dos outs de Rodríguez en la parte alta del noveno inning quebró un empate y los Yankees de Nueva York a ley de una victoria de su 27mo campeonato de Serie Mundial tras vencer el domingo 7-4 a los Filis de Filadelfia.

Mariano Rivera sacó los tres outs del noveno sin dificultades para acreditarse el rescate, su undécimo desde que debutó en la Serie Mundial.
